Even though parts of the Tuileries Gardens are kept in the original formal layout of a French style royal garden, other parts like you can see in this photo, which is within the Grand Couvert area have been designed to look almost wild, which brings even more biodiversity to this free public park in Paris.

So this is a view looking in a north, north easterly direction past the monument to Charles Perrault, who is a famous fairy tale story teller who wrote things such as Puss in Boots, yet he also produced an illustrated book detailing the celebration along with the carrousel tournament, that took place for King Louis XIV within the Jardin des Tuileries, which was in the June of 1662.
