HD photographs of Jean-Claude Touche memorial plaque on Jardin des Tuileries wall - Page 879
We took these high definition photos showing a commemorative plaque dedicated to Jean-Claude Touche, which is part of a World War II Memorial on the Jardin des Tuileries wall in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris.
As you are walking around Paris you will discover many different World War II Memorials, and this first HD photo shows one of ten commemorative plaques and stone flower pots that have been put into the sandstone wall of the Tuileries Gardens facing the Rue de Rivoli, close to the Place de la Concorde, with this one being dedicated to Jean-Claude Touche.
Here you can see a close up photograph showing the plaque dedicated to Jean-Claude Touche who was born on 7th August 1926 and followed in his fathers footsteps to become a musician, but during World War II he became a rescuer of the committee of the 8th Arrondissement with the C.R.F, which is the French Red Cross.
Unfortunately, as you can tell from this plaque, Jean-Claude Touche was fatally wounded on 25th August 1944 during the Liberation of Paris and although being taken to hospital, he died shortly afterwards at the young age of only 18, but he left a legacy including a daily diary detailing the lead up to the liberation.
But here is a macro photo showing one of the beautiful flowers that were in the stone plant pot located in the niche of the Jardin des Tuileries wall underneath the plaque, which is maintained by the City of Paris, and at certain times of the year, additional flowers and wreaths are also placed by this memorial, as a moving reminder of those that lost their lives fighting for France.
