Palais de Chaillot in Paris
The Palais de Chaillot holds different museums, a theatre and much more, and being on the opposite bank of the River Seine to the Eiffel Tower, it also has an esplanade that provides fantastic photo opportunities to capture this famous Paris tourist attraction, and in this image you can see some of the golden statues of the Palais Chaillot looking towards the Tour Eiffel with the Montparnasse Tower in the background.

The Hotel National des Invalides can be seen from lots of different angles, but as we were walking out from the back after being within the complex, we took this picture of the Eglise du Dome at Les Invalides from across the road by the square, and with the sun making the gilding of the dome glisten, we thought this was a perfect photo opportunity for this incredible tourist attraction.

On our very first day for this holiday in Paris, the capital city of France, we decided to try and capture one of the most famous Paris tourist attractions in the city of lights, and as it was just getting to dusk we managed to get this photo of the Eiffel Tower, which we took from the Palais de Chaillot on the opposite side of the River Seine before any of the Eiffel Tower illuminations were turned on.

Pont des Arts bridge with modern art

Pont des Arts and modern art
The Pont des Arts is also known as the Bridge of Love and is a pedestrian bridge over the River Seine, which did become a very popular tourist attraction in Paris for people that wish to declare their love to each other by attaching a padlock to the railings, yet this was causing problems for river traffic and stability of the bridge. So these were removed and this photo shows the new panels put in place, yet temporary art works are sometimes added and you can still view images from the love locks of the past that people fixed to the Pont des Arts.
