A modern art bronze sculpture designed as a fallen tree, is just one of the more unusual sights you can discover within the Grand Couvert area of Tuileries Gardens, although unfortunately over the years, through different storms some of the real trees have had this fate.

However, a renovation programme has been put into place to plant new young trees and more varieties, along with different shrubs and bushes, providing even greater biodiversity to this garden, which is maintained by the Musee du Louvre and was listed as a protected historical monument back in 1914, yet is also now classified as a World Heritage Site as well.
