This is a view looking in a south easterly direction towards the famous Musee du Louvre from a pathway in the Tuileries Gardens called the Allee du pied de la terrasse du Bord de l'Eau, and this alley is on the River Seine side of the gardens right next to the terrace that is to the right of the picture.

And to give you even more of an idea as to where we were standing, to the left of the photograph you can see a mass amount of trees, which are within a bosquet, or in English a grove, that is called the Bosquet des jardiniers, and this is located within the Grand Couvert area of the Jardin des Tuileries.
