The Parc de la Villette along with the Canal de l'Ourcq have become a very popular tourist attractions for both locals and those on holiday in Paris, and in this photo you can see the boat Le Baruda, which has been turned into a restaurant and cinema called the Peniche Cinema, that is permanently anchored to the bank of the canal.

We took this photo after having wandered along the path of the Canal de l'Ourcq looking back towards the Parc de la Villette, which is where you will be able to discover the Peniche Cinema, and it is an unusual entertainment venue on a boat that has been designed to show short films, documentaries, rare or themed films and much more.

Although this old barge is called Le Baruda, this boat also has a name of the Peniche Cinema, which welcomes different forms of cinema from up and coming film makers, along with unusual film festivals and debates where directors, actors and technicians, etc discuss different aspects of a film with the public.

The paths along the Canal de l'Ourcq are popular for cycling, jogging and walking, yet there are also tourist attractions that you can discover at the same time, just like the Peniche Cinema boat in this photo we took, which is an unusual entertainment venue that also has a fully licensed restaurant open of a lunch time.

There is a board positioned on the bank of the canal by the Peniche Cinema, which is put out daily to advertise the restaurant on this unusual tourist attraction, and although you cannot truly read the menu itself, as you can tell from this image, the restaurant of the Peniche Cinema is open on a Monday to Friday from noon until 3pm and the telephone numbers are there for you to make a reservation.

This is a photograph we took of two blackboards fixed to the side of the Peniche Cinema and the first to the left provides some details about the restaurant itself, such as opening times including Sunday Brunch from 11am to 6pm, yet there is also a Happy Hour on a Thursday from 6pm to 8pm, but the one to the right provides information about the cuisine such as seasonal fruit and vegetables, red label fish, etc.
