Now with this particular point in mind, one of the major aspects of the hotel's design that was imagined by Sandrine Alouf, was to incorporate an information board showing the train schedule for the Gare du Nord, which is actually in real time and therefore the lobby and lounge area is like a waiting room.
Other themed features within this unusual hotel in Paris include old fashioned suitcases or trunks adorning the walls, a small locomotive train that travels above you in the lobby, different pictures and other things such as some seats designed like an open suitcase that remind us of a bygone era and the Belle Epoque Golden Age of train travel.
