Steel Arbre sculpture by Daniel Hourde
This first HD photo shows a contemporary art sculpture just called Arbre, which in English translates to Tree, and this is part of a temporary exhibition that has been placed on the Pont des Arts, called La Passerelle Enchantee, which again in English translates to The Enchanted Footbridge.

So here you can see a close up photograph showing a part of the metal structure of the tree, which is like a mirror effect, especially how the sun helps it to reflect the clouds on the polished steel, and there are actually ten different tree sculptures that are a part of this temporary installation.

But in this image you can see several different sculptures, which were all produced by the same artist, Daniel Hourde, who was born in Boulogne-Billancourt on the outskirts of Paris in 1947, and initially went to the School of Fine Arts in Grenoble, then to the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, which is the city he now lives and works in.

Each of the sculptures including L'Arbre has been placed onto different platforms on the Pont des Arts, and the temporary installation of La Passerelle Enchantee runs in conjunction with a solo exhibition by Daniel Hourde at the Galerie Agnes Monplaisir, which he envisioned as a metallic transition from the Love Locks to the new Pont des Arts.

In fact, one of ideas that Daniel Hourde came up with, was to transform the Pont des Arts into a type of suspended garden, which was the initial concept planned by the architects of the Pont des Arts when it was first constructed, so there would still be a form of romance for the bridge portraying through the contemporary art works.

And in this image we were looking towards the Institut de France where you can see the metallic mirror style finish of The Tree with a black version in a different style further down the Pont des Arts, which as mentioned earlier goes from this historical building over the River Seine to the Musee du Louvre.
