While walking along Quai Saint-Bernard within the Tino Rossi gardens in the 5th Arrondissement of Paris, we took these high definition photographs showing the abstract stone sculpture called Neptune II, which was sculpted by the artist F Stahly in the 1960s and is part of the Musee de la Sculpture en Plein air collection.

Neptune II sculpture by Francois Stahly in Paris
Now it was the artist Francois Stahly who produced this abstract stone sculpture called Neptune II, and at one time he worked at the studio of Aristide Maillol and was friends with another sculptor called Etienne Martin, and over the years he produced numerous monuments in Paris, and today there are many artistic works produced by Stahly that can be found throughout the world including ones within several museums.

Here you can see a close up HD photograph showing a side view of the Neptune II sculpture that was produced in stone back in 1969 then positioned in the Musee de la Sculpture en Plein air, which is located along the banks of the River Seine in Paris.
Plaque on the Neptune II sculpture
This time we took a close up high definition photo showing the plaque on the base of the Neptune II sculpture, and as you can tell, it was produced by Francois Stahly who was born in 1911 in Germany, although he was classed as a French artist who died just outside Paris in 2006.

Now to visit this abstract sculpture by Francois Stahly for yourself, it is located in the free open air sculpture museum in Paris called Musee de la Sculpture en Plein air, which is inside the Tino Rossi gardens that run alongside the River Seine in the 5th Arrondissement of the capital city.
