About A Room in Paris

The building itself is located in the 10th Arrondissement of Paris close to the Gare du Nord train station and dated from the Haussmann era during the reign of Napoleon III, constructed with high ceilings, wooden floors and lovely fireplaces, and you will find this B&B on the second floor of the building.

There is an eclectic mix of items on display within the home, which are vintage inspired, even including a very old fashioned radio, along with traditional style furniture and furnishings, that make this a comfortable and pleasant place to stay with helpful owners who speak English as well as French.

Breakfast is included in the cost of the room at A Room in Paris, with tea, coffee, orange juice, cereals, croissants, homemade bread, toast and homemade jams served within the owners living room between 8am and 9:30am on weekdays and between 9am and 10am at weekends.
When several guests request it, the hosts, Thierry and Peet, can provide a traditional style French home cooked dinner that is also influenced by other world cuisines from their travels and this is served in a Table d'Hote style, which means all people are sat at one table.

With a personal welcome to their home, Thierry and Peet are there to help you get the most out of your stay in Paris and can provide restaurant recommendations, etc, plus if you are staying for a while they can also take care of your dirty laundry and for more tourist information you can gain access to their WiFi, which is free to use.

Accommodation at A Room in Paris

There are a total of five rooms at the A Room in Paris B&B and a based upon a flat cost for one or two people, which includes breakfast and they have a low season, mid season and high season rate, yet a third person can be accommodated for an additional charge of approximately €15 per night.

You will find that on most occasions it is a minimum of a two night stay that is required, although a single night is possible, again for an additional charge and it is not suitable for the disabled, however, you may be pleased to know that there is free WiFi that you can access from your room.

Because the bed and breakfast accommodation is within a building dating from the 1800s to retain the character and original features, unfortunately not all rooms have en suites and the first three rooms have two bathrooms that are also shared with the hosts.  However, there are two rooms classed as room 4 and room 5 that do have en suite facilities.
