Virgin and Child statue on Eglise Saint Germain l'Auxerrois
The Eglise Saint Germain l'Auxerrois was originally the parish church for the king of France when they were residing at the Palais du Louvre, with parts of it dating back to the 12th century, yet the church was added to and changed numerous times.

But much of the original sculptures and statues were destroyed, so a major restoration plan was put in place and in this first HD photo, you can see the statue of Virgin and Child that was put back in place in the 1800s.

Now this next photograph shows the location of the Virgin and Child statue on the central pillar in between the main doors at the porch entrance to the Eglise Saint Germain l'Auxerrois, which is one of only two church porches still in existence in Paris.

And this porch plus the Virgin and Child, along with the other statues you can see here, can be viewed from the Place du Louvre in the 1st Arrondissement of Paris, opposite the famous tourist attraction of the Musee du Louvre on the Cour Carree side by the Rue de l'Admiral de Coligny.
