There are actually different hostels throughout the world with the same name, so this particular one is often referred to as the Woodstock Hostel Paris or the Woodstock Hostel Montmartre, being even more specific to its location within a very popular and lively area of the city that is renowned for its nightlife.
Having been running since 1996, the Woodstock Hostel is a popular choice for backpackers and those of you who are on a tight budget, offering many different services that are completely free of charge in a relaxed, friendly and cosy atmosphere.
There is free WiFi throughout the hostel, although if you do not have access to the internet yourself, there are also computers you can utilise within the lobby area. Multilingual staff who come from all over the world, are there to help you get the most out of your stay and free maps plus tourist information are available at the reception.
Open 24 hours a day, you may be pleased to know that there is no curfew, so you can come and go as you please, although room cleaning is conducted daily where they ask you to leave your room, normally between around 1pm and 4pm.
The Woodstock Hostel provides a luggage hold service plus there are lockers and safety deposit boxes available for you use all of which are completely free of charge and there are different areas where you can meet others, play games or just relax.
A Continental Breakfast with hot beverages, bread, jams, cereals, etc is provided every morning and this is also free of charge, plus there is a kitchen you can utilise. In addition to this, there is an in-house bar, which is open until 2am daily.
Accommodation at the Woodstock Hostel
Exceedingly bright and colourful rooms, these are all equipped with bunk beds with bed linen supplied, free WiFi within the room and shared showers and toilets, most with a table and at least one chair, plus the continental breakfast supplied within the cost.
The Woodstock Hostel has broken down the accommodation into quirky names with the most expensive option being Peas in a Pod, which is booked as a per room cost for two people maximum.
The rest are all mixed dorms, which is charged per bed, but breakfast is still included, with the next being called The Funtastic Four, so hence four beds in total. Whereas the next going down in price is called The Six Pack and has bunk beds for six people, yet the most reasonable cost option is Le Dirt Cheap that has 10 beds per room.
Access to the Woodstock Hostel in Paris
You will find the Woodstock Hostel located in the 9th Arrondissement of Paris in the Montmartre area, which is popular for its nightlife as well its quaint streets and tourist attractions and the nearest Metro station is the Anvers stop serving line 2.
However, a little further walk away and there are also the Metro stations called the Pigalle stop serving lines 2 and 12, Poissonniere stop serving line 7, Barbes - Rochechouart stop serving lines 2 and 4 plus the Saint-Georges stop serving line 12.
