The Champ de Mars garden in Paris was named after the God of War and was once a military training ground, yet was redesigned for the World Fair or Universal Exhibition when the Eiffel Tower was officially opened, and has since remained one of the public parks in the city that is enjoyed by many, as you can tell from this image with the amount of people around.
