Enjoy is a hostel with dorm rooms, but is also a hotel with private en suite rooms, along with conveniences such as free WiFi, computers you can utilise within the lounge, a communal fully equipped kitchen, plus breakfast is included within the price.
About the Enjoy Hostel and Hotel
The Enjoy is located in the 14th Arrondissement within a building that was once a 1 Star Hotel in Paris called the Hotel de Blois, yet closed for major renovations lasting over 7 months, it re-opened in 2016 as the Enjoy Hostel and Hotel.
The hostel part of Enjoy has dorms for 4 people and 8 people, whereas the hotel aspect provides budget hotel accommodation in Paris, yet to the standards of a 2 Star hotel, with breakfast included in the price of either option you choose, which is in the form of a traditional French Continental breakfast with tea, coffee and hot chocolate along with bread, butter and jam.
Functional and practical, Enjoy Hostel and Hotel is now fully air conditioned throughout the entire building, and conforms to the latest safety regulations, although unfortunately there is no lift, so stairs have to be negotiated with your luggage.
Talking of luggage, there is a free luggage hold service available for those of you that may be arriving in the city earlier than check-in time, which is 2pm, and when your accommodation is ready, you will be provided with an electronic card for the entry system, along with a code to access the free high speed WiFi.
As with several other hostels in Paris, you will find that there is a fully equipped kitchen that is available for anyone to use, which includes an oven, fridge and microwave, plus even an ice machine. There is also a vending machine for hot beverages, which is available 24 hours a day, although after 11am in the morning you will be charged for a tea or coffee etc, but it is free with breakfast and up until that time.
You will also find that the Enjoy Hostel and Hotel has a lounge style common room where you can relax or make new friends, plus within this area there are also three computers that you can utilise free of charge, which is ideal for those of you travelling light.
Accommodation at Enjoy Hostel and Hotel
When it comes to the Enjoy Hostel you will find that there are mixed dorms and female only dorms and there are dorms for four people that have a shower and toilet and dorms for eight people, which are actually connecting rooms that are equipped with two toilets and two showers.
Within the dorms you will find a work station, wardrobe and individual lockers for your belongings, although we would like to point out that you do need to have a padlock to make the lockers secure.
As you would expect bed linen is provided, although towels are not provided when staying in the hostel accommodation, yet these can be rented for approximately €2 if you do not have your own. There is also a shelf by each bed for charging your phone etc, plus each bed has a reading light.
When it comes to the Enjoy Hotel aspect, the rooms are equivalent to that of a 2 Star hotel in Paris, with each having an en suite shower room with hairdryer, wardrobe, function workstation or desk with a USB port, a TV and personal safe, which are charged per room, rather than per bed in the hostel section.
Towels are also provided within the private rooms, just as you would get in any hotel, yet you can still make use of the other facilities on offer such as the communal kitchen, which is ideal for those of you who want more privacy, but are still on a tight budget and do not wish to eat out constantly.
Access to the Enjoy Hostel and Hotel
When it comes to getting to the Enjoy Hostel and Hotel via public transport in Paris, you will find that the nearest Metro stations are called the Alesia stop serving metro line 4 located to the south and the Mouton-Duvernet stop to the east serving the same line.
Alternatively, if you are travelling via the RER trains, then within walking distance in an easterly direction you have the Gare Denfert-Rochereau train station serving the RER B train line, plus this is a Metro station for metro line 4 and metro line 6.
In addition to these options there are the buses and the Paris bus lines 38, 58, 59, 62, 68, 88 and 92 along with the Noctilien Night Bus Service via lines N14, N21 and N66 will also get you within easy reach of Enjoy.
You may also be pleased to know that if you are needing to get to Orly Airport, then you have different options, with one being the RER B train line from Gare Denfert-Rochereau and then transfer to the OrlyVal train. The second option is the Orlybus which has its ticket machine and stop outside this station.
