Photo Images of Square de la Place des Martyrs Juifs du Velodrome d'Hiver in Paris image 11

Located by the Quai de Grenelle, the Square de la Place des Martyrs Juifs du Velodrome d'Hiver, is a very little known square in Paris, yet has a very significant meaning, and was inaugurated by the French President Jacques Chirac, in recognition of the 13,000 or so Jews that were rounded up at the Veledrome d'hiver and held in appalling conditions prior to being shipped to concentration camps, and here in this photo you can see the monument dedicated to the remembrance of these atrocities that took place during World War II.
