About Bateau Johanna
The Bateau Johanna is a barge that was originally constructed back in 1936 and still has the original wood panelling in the living room from when the boat was first constructed as a working barge.
Situated in the 7th Arrondissement, a warm welcome to the unusual B&B in Paris awaits you from your host who is able to speak Dutch, English and French, so that you can enjoy a relaxing time on the River Seine watching numerous boats and sightseeing tour boats travelling up and down.

When it comes to breakfast, this is served in the wheelhouse of the barge and is a basic Continental French breakfast of coffee and croissants, which is a great way to start the morning enjoying river life before you take a stroll to one of the numerous tourist attractions in Paris that are situated close by.
Accommodation on Bateau Johanna
Within this unusual accommodation in Paris, you will find that the Bateau Johanna has two cabin rooms, which are both doubles and these open up onto the traditional wood panelled small living and sitting room.
There is also a private shower and toilet located next to the rooms, plus as we mentioned before, there is a private entrance, just for guests. In addition, there is also a bar fridge that you can utilise, which is ideal for chilling down a bottle of wine or two for a romantic evening on the Seine.
We would however like to point out that the barge is completely no smoking, no pets are allowed, plus it is not suitable for the disabled or families with young children and this B&B in Paris is only available for a minimum of a two night stay.
Access to Bateau Johanna
You will find the Bateau Johanna located in the 7th Arrondissement in the heart of the city moored up on the River Seine at the foot of the Passerelle Leopold Sedar Senghor at the Port de Solferino, which is right opposite the famous Jardin des Tuileries and only a short walk to popular museums in Paris such as the Musee de l'Orangerie located within these gardens.
So reaching this boat B&B is very easy via public transport in Paris, as by walking along the Quai Anatole France in a south easterly direction you will reach the Gare d'Orsay RER train station serving the RER C line, but in a south westerly direction you have the Metro station called the Assemblee Nationale stop serving line 12.
Also, as you walk along the quay in an easterly direction from the Bateau Johanna you could take advantage of the Batobus, which is the water bus that travels up and down the River Seine and has one of its docks at the foot of the Musee d'Orsay.
Alternatively on the opposite side of the River Seine by going through the Tuileries Gardens or along the bank next to it, you can reach the Place de la Concorde and access the Concorde Metro station, which serves the Metro lines 1, 8 and 12.
In addition, there are the buses, and the bus lines 42, 45, 63, 68, 69, 72, 73, 83, 84, 87 and 94 along with the Noctilien Night Bus Service via lines N01, N02, N11 and N24 will all get you within easy walking distance of this unusual accommodation in Paris.
