The government law enforcement and emergency services division was originally formed backed in the 1600s under the rule of King Louis XIV. Yet the current Prefecture de Police was created by Napoleon Bonaparte I and is also responsible for emergency services such as the fire brigade, and this is a photo we took of the building located on the Quai de Gesvres in the 4th Arrondissement, which is there to aid in daily city life for those living or on holiday in the capital city of France, and is the place you would go for driving licenses, etc, yet at one of the other police stations in the city in the 5th Arrondissement, there is even a museum dedicated to the Prefecture de Police force.
