This first photo shows the Cafe Le Rostand, which is a large typical French cafe that is located right opposite the entrance to the Luxembourg Gardens nearest the Medici Fountain, and having the potted plants outside gave it more sophisticated feel than some places.

With the different plants and menus propped again then sitting in the pots, it provides a taster to what you can expect within the historical gardens, and it takes its names from its location on the Place Edmond Rostand which has a fountain in the centre.
And like so many cafes and brasseries in Paris, the chairs with the small tables on the street terrace are laid out in such an orderly manner, but designed to provide great views, and although you cannot see it that much from these photos, the inside has a warm old fashioned and sophisticated feel to it with lots of wood and subtle lighting.
