Domaine Chateau de l'Eperviere Burgundy

Located within the wooded grounds of the beautiful estate of the Domaine du Chateau de l'Eperviere in the Burgundy region of France, you will find a 16th to 18th century chateau, that has very good sized pitches and some hard standings, all with electric hook-ups and easy access that makes them suitable even for large RV’s as well as tents, caravans and motorhomes.

This is a high quality campsite that has excellent facilities and is ideal for a family camping holiday in France being that no matter what the weather you can enjoy the indoor heated swimming and Jacuzzi, but when the weather permits, there is also an outdoor swimming pool and a paddling pool as well, plus a bouncy castle and in high season there is also a kids club to keep the little ones even happier.

If you want to relax, the chateau has its very own 1.5 hectare lake, so this is also one of the French campsites with fishing available where you could do a spot of course or carp fishing and the partner can enjoy the health spa with the sauna and massages for a bit of pampering and enjoyment.

Housed with the chateau itself, there is an elegant restaurant that serves regional French cuisine including the famous boeuf bourguinon, plus lots of other delights to tempt the tastebuds along with the Burgundy wines, of course, but if you do not feel like eating in the restaurant or the covered terrace in the courtyard, then there are many takeaway options available, yet in this vaulted room on the eastern wing of the chateau you can also opt for the pizzeria menu as well.
This campsite in France has a bar that is located within the old stables of the chateau and is a great place to unwind and relax in a cosy setting, yet there are also TV’s and a large screen TV showing all major sporting events, live music held here in high season and above the bar there is a billiards room.  WiFi internet access is also available at the bar and on the terrace, but do not worry if you do not have a laptop, as in a separate space there are computers you can utilise as well.

Another, very unusual aspect to this French campsite, is the fact that three times a week throughout the season you can enter the vaulted cellars of the Domaine du Chateau de l’Eperviere that date back to 14th century, where wine tasting sessions are held with local wine growers coming in so that you can learn more, and of course get to experience some of the well-renowned and excellent Burgundy wines which are available for all to enjoy.
