Camping de l'Ile Cariot is a
small French campsite located in the countryside within a natural park with marshes that
is the largest wetland in the west of France, yet is only 30 minutes away from La Rochelle
and many sandy beaches.
There are 45 touring pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with the option of
electric hook-ups at 10amp along with two fully furnished tents to rent and five chalets
to rent on this campsite in France.
This is also one of the French campsites with fishing available, along with canoeing plus
you can hire canoes from the campsite pier then enjoy the wildlife and nature of the
marshland and waterways letting you see things from a completely different
perspective. However, there are also other activities on the campsite for a fun
family camping holiday such as the heated swimming pool and childrens pool, table tennis,
volleyball and a boules ground, plus there is a communal BBQ area for those al fresco
get-togethers. Not forgetting that numerous attractions can be reached within around
30 minutes from the campsite such as the beautiful sandy beaches, La Rochelle where there
is an aquarium and much more.
