Photo of La Samaritaine department store in Paris - Page 48

La Samaritaine on Quai du Louvre is a historical department store in Paris that took its name from the pump that provided water for The Tuileries Palace, which was once installed on the Pont Neuf bridge, yet taken over by LVMH or the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy Group, La Samaritaine unfortunately had to close its doors due to being deemed unsafe to still be running.  But all is not lost, as the group are now in the process of completely renovating the building, which will provide approximately 2,000 more jobs in the city and return this historical monument into a part of the Paris city life for millions more future tourists and Parisiens alike.
