Camping Campix Campsite In Ile de France

Camping Campix is a very unusual and almost rough and ready style of French campsite that is within an old stone quarry with pitches on different levels and some smaller pitches for tents that are quite secluded and out of the way.

Even though it has a motorhome service area, RVs and large rigs would be a problem, plus it does have baby and disabled facilities, although, again due to the nature of this campsite, those with reduced mobility or pushing prams may have a hard job getting around, especially with the amount of steep inclines and stairs.

However, this is a quirky and very different campsite in France that allows pets, has a very unusual childrens playground with a long slide going running down the side of one of the quarry walls to get to wooden castle structure, a swimming pool and the childrens pool plus a snack bar.

It is also a good base for exploring the area, with places such as Chateau de Chantilly nearby along with historical sites such as churches, ramparts and an amphitheatre, museums, woodland walks, caves, museums and more, plus you can easily get a train into the capital city Paris or you can walk along the paths of a river to get to the local village, making this place great for a holiday in France.
