But if you are looking at lunch or dinner then some of the delights on the menu at this brasserie in Paris could be starters such as a plate of Serrano ham, duck Foie Gras with green beans and pine nuts, oysters or a Caesar salad.

Main dishes could be Salmon, Tortellini with asparagus and parmesan, Grilled Andouillette sausage with a mustard sauce, an Entrecote steak with bearnaise sauce or even a cheeseburger with an average cost of around €15 as of 2014, although something like the Fillet of beef with a Bordeaux juice is approximately €24.

Now at the terrace area of Le Petit Journal Montparnasse, they have an area called the Piano Bar, where you can enjoy a drink, or even a meal while listening to the pianist, and this is open daily in the early evening with free entry.
However, this is also a Jazz venue in Paris, where you go downstairs to a dining hall that has been inspired by New Orleans jazz and Detroit soul, where you will find the tables set out in rows with the stage at one end.  And although it can be a bit awkward if you are sitting in the middle and wish to get up during your meal, it does provide good views of the stage and the artists along with a cosy friendly atmosphere.

You can just opt to be perched at the bar to watch a concert for a lower cost, or alternatively, Le Petit Journal Montparnasse offers a dinner concert option starting from €60 per person and this includes a starter, main course, dessert, one drink, plus coffee to finish and of course the concert itself.

But we would like to point out that there are not just Jazz concerts held here, you could also enjoy soul, blues, Latin Jazz and Bossa Nova, as there is a very varied line up of entertainment organised throughout the year with some exceptional performers with incredible talent.
