Le Batofar night club and restaurant Paris

Le Batofar is a concert venue, restaurant and a night club in Paris that is open to the early hours of the morning, yet is an unusual venue, as it is set on an old lighthouse ship that is moored on the River Seine.

About Le Batofar in Paris

The Batofar is an old lighthouse boat that used to patrol the waters after dark to help other boats with navigation, but you will not be travelling anywhere on this boat now, as it was sold back in 1988 and was permanently moored on the River Seine.

This then became the start of a trend for unusual venues and night clubs on a boat, which has now been running for over 14 years, and even though this particular venue has become famous for its techno sounds and international DJs, there is a lot more to Le Batofar than just being a night club in Paris.

The Batofar restaurant

You can enjoy a culinary experience aboard this boat with a dedicated kitchen team that provides classics of French cuisine and international dishes with inventive flavours, in a warm and friendly atmosphere that has a unique setting.

Now, if you are looking at eating at the batofar there are only 70 places available for dining at any one time, and therefore reservations are virtually always necessary, but you could have delights such as a mushroom cannelloni with spicy sauce, chicken Caesar salad or monkfish carpaccio for starters.  Main course could be sirloin steak with shallots and French fries or red curry prawns and wild rice for instance to be followed by one of their tempting desserts.
And as of 2013 a starter ranges in cost from €8 upwards, a main course is from €14 upwards and the desserts are €8, but there are different rates and menus available for groups, private events, etc.
