HD photograph of Fer a cheval inside Jardin des Tuileries looking north, north easterly - Page 218
While we were standing on the Terrasse de l'Orangerie, we took this photo looking over the Fer a cheval area of the Jardin des Tuileries with the green crates holding orange trees, towards the opposite terrace, which is called the Terrasse du Jeu de Paume all by the western entrance to gardens next to the Place de la Concorde.

All the of the gardens designed by Andre Le Notre were meant to be more appreciated when seen from elevated positions, which is why there were terraces constructed, and in fact, if you look at the wall of the terrace you can see bust of Andre Le Notre on a pedestal within a niche on the Tuileries Gardens wall.
