Gilded bronze plaque Pont Alexandre III NE side
Classified as an historical monument, the Pont Alexandre III is often referred to as the most extravagant bridge, and in the first HD photo you can see some of the ornate features that have made this such a popular tourist attraction in Paris.

This next image shows a shield style sculpture made of bronze with a lions head on the top and some gilding, and this is the side facing the River Seine upstream, and there is another on the opposite balustrade, which has some very subtle differences.

Now this next photograph shows the side of the shield style plaque that you would see while on the Pont Alexandre III, and as you can see, it provides the year of 1897 when the bridge was first started and the year 1900 when it was finished and officially inaugurated for the 1900 World Fair in Paris

And to give you more of an idea as to the location of this bronze plaque, it is located on the parapet of the bridge within the 8th Arrondissement close to the Petit Palais and the ornate candelabras, which is the north easterly side of the Pont Alexendre III facing upstream of the River Seine as though you would be going to the Louvre Museum.
