Photo of golden equestrian statue on the Pont Alexandre III bridge in Paris - Page 37

On a lovely sunny day we took this photo of a gilded equestrian statue in Paris that is known as a Fame, and there are four of these golden statues on the Pont Alexandre III bridge, which adorn the tops of 17 metre high columns to make them even more ornate, and produced by different artists representing things such as science, the arts, etc, sometimes these are also known as Pegasus held by Fame, and as you can tell, with the sun shining, it really makes the sculpture stand out against the blue sky.

These gilded equestrian statues were sculpted in readiness of the 1900 World Fair in Paris, which was when the bridge was officially inaugurated, however if you would like to see more information along with high definition photos of each individual equestrian statue, then please do follow the links in the related information.
