After visiting the Pont Bir-Hakeim we started walking towards the Eiffel Tower along Pormenade d'Australie, when we came across the bronze bust of Francois de Galaup, Comte de La Perouse, and as you will see from these photos it is found within a lovely garden area with park benches that you can enjoy and rest the feet for a while.

With this first photo of the bronze bust statue of Francois de Galaup, Comte de La Perouse, sometimes spelt Laperouse, you can see there are inscriptions on the pedestal including his year of birth being 1741, and the year he was deemed missing in 1788, and this was produced by the French sculptor Raymond Delamarre.
Here you can see a close up photo of the bust of Jean Francois de Galaup, Comte de La Perouse, who was a French Naval Officer and explorer that led many expeditions throughout the world, yet he went missing when a complete expedition vanished in Oceania in 1788.
Now to discover the bronze Jean La Perouse statue for yourself, it is located along the Pormenade d'Australie walkway next to the River Seine in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris, not very far from the Pont Bir-Hakeim with its metro station and only a short walk away from the Eiffel Tower.
