Le Grand Signe Sculpture In Paris

From trees that have been sculpted through to different sculptures themselves, there is always something different to admire while in Paris, but it is a shame that some people have no respect for works of art, as you can tell from this photo with the graffiti on the bronze base of Le Grand Signe sculpture.

Abstract Sculpture Le Grand Signe Bronze

There are numerous different statues dotted all over the city of Paris, and there are also several abstract sculptures that you can admire, just like this one that we took a photo of along Quai Saint-Bernard in the free open air museum next to the River Seine in the 5th Arrondissement.

Le Grand Signe By Artist Marta Colvin

Now as for the artist Marta Colvin, having married and had children young, she did not start training as an artist and sculptor until later in life, yet became well recognised and received several awards for her works, that can be seen in numerous places around the world including this one in Paris.

Le Grand Signe Sculpture Plaque

This is a close up HD photo we took showing the plaque on the stone base below the sculpture called le Grand Signe, and as you can see, it states that the artist Marta Colvin was born in Chillan, Chille in 1915, yet after an earthquake moved to Santiago, but spent over 30 years in France, much of it in Paris, before going back to Santiago where she died in 1995.

Paris Museum Sculpture Le Grand Signe

To visit the Le Grand Signe sculpture for yourself, it is located along Quai Saint-Bernard within the free open air museum called Musee de la Sculpture en Plein Air, which is found inside Jardin Tino Rossi next to the River Seine in the 5th Arrondissement of Paris.
