We took these high definition photos showing a very unusual bronze statue in Paris called the Melmoth, which is located within the Musee de la Sculpture en Plein Air, that is situated along the River Seine in the 5th Arrondissement, and you may also be pleased to know that this is one of the free museums within the city.

The Melmoth statue by Reinhoud d'Haese
Now this statue was produced by the Flemish sculptor Reinhoud d'Haese, who is sometimes just known as Reinout, and the above photo we took of the Melmoth statue shows the bronze skeleton style figure with its cape that looks like it came out of an old scary movie.
Side view of Melmoth statue
This time we took a photo showing a side view of this bronze statue, and as you can see the cape travels all the way down the sculpture so to hide the skeleton face, which can be a surprise for some as you walk round to the front of the Melmoth.
The Melmoth bronze skull
Ok, maybe this statue is not as scary as some other sculptures around Paris, but as you can see from this HD close up photo of the Melmoth skull, it could be something you may not like to see late at night.
