HD photos of Le Batofar nightclub and restaurant in Paris

These particular photo show the rather unusual but unique venue called Le Batofar, which is an old lighthouse boat that is now permanently moored along the banks over the River Seine in Paris, but since 1988 it has been converted into a live music venue, restaurant and night club that is open to the early hours of the morning.

While standing on the quay looking towards the Passerelle Simone de Beauvoir footbridge in the distance, and the greenery of the Parc de Bercy to the right, in this image you can see the old lighthouse boat Le Batofar, which plays host to international DJs all year round.

Le Batofar was called the Osprey until it was converted in to a floating nightclub and restaurant

Le Batofar Originally The Osprey

This unusual night club venue in Paris started life as a lighthouse boat called the Osprey, yet was renamed Le Batofar when it was sold to the French and converted for an entirely different purpose, yet still retained the original unique features that you can see in this picture.

Batofar Moored Along Port De La Gare

While standing by the start of the Pont de Tolbiac along Port de la Gare on the left bank of the River Seine, we took this photo looking down to Le Batofar converted lighthouse boat with its quayside terrace complete with deckchairs and tables for al fresco dining.

The traditional bright red colour of Le Batofar and its lighthouse on top has become a famous site in Paris over the years, just like the Moulin Rouge cabaret has with its windmill, and this boat has become a popular spot for tourists and locals to party until the early hours.

This is a panoramic photo we took looking upstream of the River Seine towards the Pont de Tolbiac bridge that goes from the 13th Arrondissement over to the 12th Arrondissement, with Le Batofar moored just in front of it, and further in the distance is the Pont National bridge.

This picture shows the Batofar terrace section along the promenade next to the boat

Batofar Promenade Terrace

This is a photo we took of the Batofar terrace area on the Port de la Gare promenade of the River Seine, which has been known as the Batofar Beach, where you can relax under a sun shade or in the sun.
