For a completely different way of travelling around the city, or for your wedding, proposal, or part of a romantic weekend in Paris, then choosing a horse and carriage ride is a novel way of seeing the sights, with champagne, dinner and lunch options to complete the experience.

About the Private Horse Drawn Carriage Rides

Started by an entrepreneur called Larry Davis, who originally moved to Paris from New Mexico in 1999, the company provides private and tailor made experiences in Paris such as the horse and carriage rides and tours in a vintage Rolls Royce.
Paris Horse and Carriage Rides
The horse and carriage, or horse and buggy as it would be known in American, is an elegant Burgundy carriage that has a lovely comfortable interior with blankets to keep you warm during the winter months and even a covered top in case of rain.

And this is pulled by a beautiful 6 year old black shire horse called Pride who will trot through the city street, and these private rides can cater for a maximum of four adults or two adults and up to three children.

However, there is also a white Landau and Cinderella carriage, which can be arranged for weddings and special occasions, great for those of you that would like to do something completely different and memorable while on your romantic holiday in the city of lights.
Now, there are different packages you can purchase and the first type of horse drawn carriage rides are known as Romance and as of 2015 the cost for a 1 hour tour is €199, but you can also can opt for one with champagne, and for an hour and a half it is €375 or 2 hours this will cost €470.

Another option is called the Proposal Rides and these are ideal for special occasions, especially if you would like a romantic way to propose to your loved one, and you can choose the 1 hour Alexandre III rout at a cost of €229 or the 90 minute Trocadero route which also includes champagne and a photographer for €575.

Additional options such as roses, different pick up or drop off points, champagne, or a 7pm start time can also be arranged with an additional supplement, plus lunch after your horse and carriage ride is something else that can be organised.
