L'Etang des Haizes in Basse
Normandie is one of the French campsites
with fishing available for free on its own lake and in fact, you can also hire a
pedalo for a bit of family fun, or even book a pitch that has a lovely view of the lake as
well.
Talking of pitches, they range in size from around 90m squared up to about 120m squared
and are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes and WiFi
is available in certain areas so you can keep in touch, but it is really the activities on
site that makes this a great place for a family camping
holiday in France and you do not have to travel far from the port of Cherbourg to
reach it.
On top of the fishing, there is a heated swimming
pool complex with water slides, a childrens pool and a Jacuzzi, table tennis, games
room, volleyball and in high season you can expect additional organised activities like
archery and water polo, plus a kids
club and entertainment with shows, etc.
