La Forge de Sainte Marie is a
beautiful estate that, originally was an old ironworks that is over 300 years old, and
this particular French campsite can be found in the Champagne-Ardenne
region of France,
which is most well known for its bubbly of the same name Champagne.
The setting is one of nature and tranquillity in a very unspoilt area with an abundance of
wildlife, oak trees, wild orchids, other unusual and rare types of flora and fauna, plus
the campsite even has a river running through it.
Being a very family orientated site and able to cater for caravans, motorhomes and tents,
you can choose an idyllic pitch by the river that you can fish, or perhaps you would
prefer to be near to the childrens playground, or maybe a hard standing pitch instead of a
grass pitch, but whatever you decide, the multilingual staff at La forge de Sainte Marie
are sure to be able to cater for your needs.
When it comes to facilities, this site is absolutely fantastic, from catering to the needs
of babies and young children through to the disabled and your beloved pets are allowed to
accompany you. In fact, there are some fabulous walks you can take with your dog on,
making your holiday that little more laid back.

Set within the old forge there is
a heated indoor swimming pool, so even if it is bad weather you can go swimming, plus
others such as the games room with table football, etc, the arcade and pinball machines, a
bar and satellite TV for the sports, plus of an evening you could enjoy the fabulous French food
served in the restaurant, which also caters for children and high chairs are also
available.
For finer weather there are a multitude of activities you can enjoy on this campsite in France
from trout fishing
in the campsite lake to volleyball and the traditional boules through to archery, but
this site also has a fantastic entertainment programme from quizzes to trips to a local
farm with a BBQ and live music nights through to cheese and wine tasting afternoons, but
we cannot forget about the children and yes, there is a Kids
Club held each morning plus children playgrounds and playing fields.
With so many facilities at La Forge de Sainte Marie and the quality of this campsite, plus
the amount of activities you could enjoy in the local area from jet skiing to parachuting
or just lazing on a beach, this is a definite must for a family camping holiday in France that you wish would never
come to an end!
