Camping Le Montagnou is an
English owned and family run French campsite located at 680m altitude in the Ustou Valley
on the lower slopes of the Pyrenees and is a small campsite in a tranquil setting
bordering a river, where you can enjoy nature including eagles soaring overhead.
There are 40 good sized pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with a choice of either
6amp or 10amp electric hook-up if required, two fully equipped tents to rent and two
mobile homes to rent at this campsite in France. Other services include disabled
facilities, a WiFi hotspot zone, laundry room, snack bar, fridge available to use
completely free, and a fresh bread service in high season.
There is direct access to the river from the campsite and this is ideal for kayaking in
the spring, however, even if you do not own your own canoe or kayaking equipment then
there is a centre that also does rafting only 5km away. This is also one of the
French campsites with trout fishing available on the river in the summer season along with
it being suitable for swimming, plus on site there is tables tennis and boules. A
social come common room with games and books is available, which means you could also take
advantage of a lazy afternoon in one of the many hammocks dotted around amongst the trees.

Yet this does not include the
numerous other adventure sports that are available locally to the campsite, which
including climbing, paragliding, the summer toboggan at the skiing resort and much more,
not forgetting the nature trails, thermal springs, caves, underground rivers and much more
to experience on a family camping holiday in France with a difference.
