Camping Le Hounta is located in
the Midi Pyrenees, which is a popular destination for skiing and there are actually three
skiing stations nearby to this French campsite, which is why it is open throughout the
winter.
Even though there are not many activities available on the campsite, there are numerous
outdoor activities in the area for those like sport and adventure from the extreme like
bungee jumping and white water rafting to the more leisurely like swimming, fishing and
ice skating.
However, the facilities on this campsite in France are very good, with different levels of
electric available on the pitches that are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes,
plus there are disabled, baby and childrens facilities, along with a small grocery shop
open in high season.
