Le Moulin du Chatain, which
basically translates to the Chestnut Mill is located in the very popular Dordogne area
within Aquitaine, and has 23 lovely pitches for tents and caravans or small campervans
surrounded by hedges, but unfortunately they cannot accommodate large outfits or large
motorhomes.
This is a French campsite with fishing for trout on two lakes and a campsite with carp
fishing on the third lake with carp in excess of 20kilos, but has facilities for the non
fisherman amongst you as well, like a swimming pool with separate children pool, table
tennis and a games room with pool table, etc, so you can combine your hobby with a true
family camping holiday in France.
Set in beautiful surroundings within a valley with a waterfall and river running through,
this is an idyllic campsite that also has a restaurant and takeaway along with organised
entertainment on the covered terrace, but there is also much to do in the local area from
a lake that has a beach for the little ones, through to water sports for the more
adventurous, so you can be assured of a great family camping holiday that you wish would
not come to an end.
