Domaine des Mathevies is located
in a tiny hamlet, yet close to the medieval town of Sarlat and this family run French
campsite is quiet and relaxing, being set in the countryside, yet close enough to the
beach and numerous tourist attractions.
This is a small and friendly campsite in France that only has a total of 26 pitches for
camping, but there are also chalets and mobile home to rent plus a gite as well, yet each
of the pitches is a generous size of around 120m squared and has access to water and
electric.
And even though it is a small campsite, there are still very good facilities available,
which include a nice cosy bar, restaurant and terrace with a takeaway and fresh bread
service, a swimming pool and childrens pool, sandpit and childrens playground, tennis
court, volleyball come badminton court and TV showing major sporting events, plus they
organise campfire evenings where the children can even toast marshmallows, canoeing trips
on the Dordogne and pony riding through a nearby farm for an even more enjoyable family
camping holiday in France.
