For anyone who love skiing or snowboarding then the French campsite Le Champ du Moulin has got to be high on your list of places to stay for a camping holiday in France, as it is located at 930m altitude by the village that has a cable car directly to the ski resort of Les 2 Alpes in the Rhone-Alpes region of France where you can enjoy your sport during summer or winter on over 200km of ski runs.
Open for the summer season from the end of May to the middle of September there are a total of 69 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes with facilities such as table tennis, games room, a municipal swimming pool with water slide only around 40m away and a bar plus takeaway meals, pizzas etc. Then this campsite in France re-opens for winter caravanning from the middle of December through to the last week in April with 30 to 60 pitches available for caravans and motorhomes depending upon the snow conditions and you can enjoy the warmth of a sauna, a restaurant serving traditional regional French cuisine, etc.
However, this is also a great area for people who love adventure sports with activities on offer such as rock climbing, white water rafting, mountaineering or why not do a spot of paragliding, yet for a more tranquil family camping holiday, you could do a spot of fishing or just take a walk and admire the beautiful scenery with the mountains, valley and waterfall close by.
