Camping Surchauffant has a total
of 135 pitches that are spread over an area of around 3 hectares and is in the beautiful
location of the Jura with its mountains and numerous lakes to enjoy.
But on this French campsite you will find activities such as a swimming pool and paddling
pool when the weather permits, table tennis, volleyball, etc, but it is its location that
is the real draw, as the campsite has direct access to a beach at a lakeside only 200m
away, plus it is very close to boat mooring facilities and lots of boating activities such
as jet skiing and water skiing.
Situated on the Lake Vouglans that covers an area of 1,600 hectares, there are three
different zones for different activities, the one where this campsite in France is located
is dedicated to motorboating, another is dedicated to fishing with really great specimens
of carp, pike and zander and the third which normally benefits from good winds is more for
sailing, windsurfing, etc.

But putting water sports to one
side, there are numerous other pleasures and activities available in the local area such
as marked footpaths, biking and nature trails, climbing, the vineyards and wine tasting,
gastronomy such as the regions cheeses and even flying in a microlight, so this campsite
is ideal for the active and adventurous that want a fun, yet fulfilling family camping
holiday in France.
