Located on an island in the Loire
right in the heart of the Pays de la Loire region and surrounded by vineyards, Camping
Hortus, L'Ile du Château is also often known as Camping Hortus Angers.
On this French campsite there is a camping field for tents that do not require electric
hook-ups along with an additional 89 touring pitches with 6amp electric for tents,
caravans and motorhomes, however, we would like to point out that twin axle caravans incur
an additional charge.
Services on this campsite in France include baby and disabled facilities, free WiFi
internet access covering some of the site, a motorhome service area, bar, snack bar and a
shop with fresh bread service, although some services such as the snack bar and takeaway
are only open in high season.
But when it comes to activities for a family camping holiday in France you will not be
disappointed as there is a games room, table tennis, crazy golf and multi-sports court,
plus adjacent to the campsite there is an outdoor swimming pool with long waterslide that
is free for campers, tennis courts and a football field.
