Batostar River Seine Cruises and its Mellow Bar in Paris

The Batostar is an entirely new concept of providing a short River Seine Cruise on an electric boat and combines this with having a barge that has a bar and terrace, which turns into a club on certain nights until the early hours.

About the Batostar in Paris

Located at the Pont Marie looking across the water towards the Ile Saint Louis island and along to the Ile de la Cite, the Batostar is a completely new and innovative concept for Cruises on the River Seine.
Batostar Paris
On the Batostar River Seine cruise you will spend 40 minutes on board their electric boat and travel up to the Pont d’Austerlitz then go round the Ile Saint Louis and the Ile de la Cite islands up to the Pont des Arts and the Musee du Louvre before turning round and coming back the other side.  And you can watch a video where you can discover the Paris of today and how the city was in the Middle Ages.

Background music is also provided, and commentary is available in French, English and Spanish at present, and you can also enjoy a drink on their barge at the Mellow Bar prior to or after your short 40 minute cruise, and this is only €13 for an adult as of 2014 including a drink or €10 without.

The Batostar Mellow Bar in Paris

CLOSED - You will find a fully renovated barge located on the bank by the Pont Marie bridge looking out over the River Seine to the Ile Saint Louis.  And named the Mellow Bar, this is the Batostar barge, which offers a cocktail bar in Paris along with a terrace for those nice days, where you can relax with a drink, coffee or have a bite to eat.
In fact, there are sandwiches, salads and even hot snacks such as hotdogs available made from fresh ingredients with a continuous service from 11am through to 10pm.  But later in the evening this venue then becomes more of a true cocktail bar and a nightclub in Paris with a collection of music supplied by le Melletron web radio that has been installed within the wheelhouse, so that you can dance and party into the early hours.

So no matter what your tastes, there is bound to be something for everyone to enjoy with the unique experience of the Batostar.

Visiting the Batostar and the Mellow Bar

On a Wednesday through to a Sunday the cruises around the islands depart at 2.15pm and 3.15pm and tickets, which as of 2014 are a cost of €10 for adults and €5 for children under the age of 12, and can be purchased on board approximately 15 minutes prior to departure.

However, the Batostar also offer a trip to the Eiffel Tower, which departs at 12.15pm on the same days, and you can opt for a one way, which is a cost of €8 for adults or a return trip that is a cost of €14 as of 2014, and the return leaves the dock by the Eiffel Tower at 6.10pm.

When it comes to the Mellow Bar, there is continuous service for both hot and cold non alcoholic plus alcoholic drinks including cocktails, and there is a wide range of snacks available, which are available from 11am. Yet when it comes to the clubbing scene, this goes through to the early hours of the morning and from what we can gather it varies depending upon the theme, but we have seen a minimum of 2am and up to 5am.

Now reaching the Batostar is easy, as it is located by the Pont Marie bridge close to the Voie Georges Pompidou road and below the Quai de l’Hotel de Ville, and when it comes to the public transport in Paris, the nearest Metro station is called the Pont Marie stop via line 7.  Yet it can also be reached by bus numbers 67, 69, 76, and 96 and if you have your own vehicle, then there is parking on the Rue de l’Hotel de Ville.
